Austin Eatman started out at an early age, quickly learning the guitar by playing covers of his favourite artists and subsequently started showing off his prowess at open mic nights across the city.
Within the next year, Austin was receiving requests from multiple establishments for musical entertainment, and gained even more fans when he started playing his original songs.
Austin began performing professionally for any that would listen, covering his favourite artists from John Prine to Jack White.
No longer satisfied with echoing music, he decided to begin writing his own music, spawning a musical passion that continues to shine through his performances.
As Maggie Mclean from "The East" wrote in response to his debut EP "Broken Radio", "His time spent in pubs entertaining the Saint John public has allowed Eatman to expertly curate this tracklist. High energy songs like “Sweet Kate” and “Perpetual Fire” are sure to be crowd pleasers, the kind of rhythmic toe-tappers that are specifically designed to get an audience moving. Those kinds of tracks often run the risk of sounding generic, any one of them bleeding into another. Again, there’s just an extra level of polish on these tracks that set them apart from potential peers. -- Despite being relatively young, there’s a maturity to him as a writer and a musician that would suggest a lifetime of experience to anyone none the wiser."
Despite being locked down physically due to the pandemic, Austin Eatman has continued to further his music, laying the ground work for a double-length album as well as being featured in multiple online outlets including "The East", "Canadian Beats", Cashbox Canada" and "That Eric Alper". He also has collaborated with other NB talents to record a compilation album for Mental Health initiative "Music for the Mind" set to release in December.
