Faeya

Amelie Kolnik, who goes by the stage name "Faeya" is a sixteen-year-old, emerging singer-songwriter from Toronto, Canada. Faeya began studying classical piano at the age of four. By the age of twelve, she began writing and performing her original songs. The artists' music has transformed into cinematic and soulful piano ballads with themes of maturing, growth through relationships and self-discovery. With a poetic approach, Faeya writes songs that her audience can identify with.

'Faeya', the artist's debut, self-titled EP is a collection of two songs that reflect on the hardships of growing as a person, and as an artist. The cinematic musical arrangements, paired with her soulful vocals are distinct and beautifully subliminal. 'Fire Within' is a "song-to-self", reminding the young artist to be present in every moment, and enjoy the journey to success. 'Human' is a personal and harmoniously sorrowful song. Faeya wrote it about her anxieties and the way that they change the world she sees.
